What next? I understand that Crouch has to leave for his own sake (and England's) but, although Keane is an excellent striker, shouldn't Rafa be trying to go all-out to get David Villa?? The partnership between him and Torres was fantastic and Villa say's that a move to Anfield would be in his interests, so lets hope Rafa has some funds to go for Villa, rather than a part-swap for Crouch.

Cant see it happening even though i would like to see Crouch at The Lane, but Ramos is too astute to let Spurs' most consistent player over the last number of years leave.

I don't think he'll go either, think he loves the club too much to walk away.
I'm glad Crouchy went to Fratton Park though, were he'll get games under his belt.

Believe it or not, I think
Believe it or not, I think that Robbie Keane would be a better signing for us than David Villa. The Villa/Torres partnership at Euro 08 was not as good as everyone is making out. Yes, Spain scored a lot of goals, but against very poor opposition. Torres was played out of position in every game bar the final because Villa is a lone striker (just like Torres). Up to the final Torres had only scored once and didn't start to shine until Villa was injured and he could play in his rightful position. Keane would be better because he plays a deeper role and would link better with Torres.

Looks highly unlikely now though, with Crouch off to Portsmouth..........Oh and your right Keane is better than Villa.......in fact anyone at Villa!
Villa's overall better than
Villa's overall better than Keane, but Keane fits the system better playing as the link between the midfield and Torres. Besides, Keane bleeds Anfield red and Villa apparently wants to stay in Spain.
