Wigan Athletic’s Chris Hutchings Rues Unavailability Of Injured Ryan Taylor Until October - Man United Linked With Taylor
Wigan Athletic manager Chris Hutchings has revealed that Ryan Taylor will be out of action until October after failing to recover from a leg injury.
The 22-year-old, who is known for his free-kick expertise, had been injured in the final game of the season with Sheffield United when he collided with Blades forward Jon Stead.
The England Under 21 international right-back has been highly rated and reports in May claimed Manchester United were interested in him.
"Ryan has one of the best right foots in this division," Hutchings told Wigan's official website.
"I genuinely mean that, and obviously it will be frustrating to be without him until October.
"Ryan is an important part of the club's future and it's important that he concentrates on getting fully fit and back in action.
"However, our medical team are first class and will make sure that when he is back with us he will be battle hardened and ready for the toughest league in the world."
