Wigan Athletic Striker Emile Heskey Hopes To Come back Within Five Weeks
Wigan Athletic striker Emile Heskey, who fractured his metatarsal in the 1-1 draw with Fulham last month, is targeting a comeback within five weeks.
Heskey, who is currently wearing a protective boot, will however miss England's Euro 2008 qualifiers against Estonia and Russia.
"The injury happened when I went over on my ankle and all the weight was on the side the foot," he told the Wigan Evening Post
"At the moment it's quite frustrating to sit in the gym, watching the lads through the window on the training pitch”.
"When I had the operation, the doctor told me it would be between six and eight weeks before I was playing, so there's another three to five weeks left.
"You never know, once I get the boot off, it might have healed a little bit quicker. I hope I'm a quick healer."
