West Ham United Trial Spanish Striker Tristan – Report
West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola is reportedly keen to bolster his attacking ranks and as such has experienced striker Diego Tristan on trials for the Premiership side.
Looking to make a move to England, the former Deportivo La Coruna man, according to skysports.com, has been handed a trial by the East-London club following the injury blow to Dean Ashton, who is ruled out until the New Year.
The 32-year-old former Spain international is a free agent after having left Livorno at the end of last season.
Tristan has looked a pale shadow of his old self since the last two years as he failed to reach his top level due to fitness problems. However, he is now keen to get his career resurrected. And if he impresses Italian tactician Zola, he could get himself a deal at Upton Park.
