West Ham Boss Alan Curbishley Tight-lipped On Adriano Saga – Reports Suggest Hammers Bid £15m For Inter Striker
West Ham United boss Alan Curbishley has remained tight-lipped on a possible arrival of Adriano at Upton Park before the transfer deadline of August 31 but latest reports suggest that the Brazil striker is making his last appearance for Inter Milan tonight at Gamper Trophy test match against Barcelona.
With the 25-year-old only in favour of staying at the San Siro or being sold out, the Hammers have reportedly changed their earlier stance of trying to thrash out a loan deal and have made a £15m offer.
However, nothing is certain in terms of a transfer for the fiery striker who has scored 25 goals in 37 international appearances, as big-spending Manchester City are also said to be interested in him.
Nevertheless, Curbishley pleaded ignorance about the whole Adriano saga.
"I don't know too much about it to be fair,” he said. "I don't know if it is talk to stir things up, if you like, we will have to see. I just think it is something that has cropped up. Is it speculation or is there something in it? I don't know."
