West Brom & AZ Eye Belgium International Striker, But Cercle Brugge Ace Wants Anderlecht Move
Tony Mowbray’s West Bromwich Albion are trying to sign Cercle Brugge forward Tom De Sutter, who is also a target for AZ.
The Baggies are currently in ninth position in the Premiership following the summer promotion to the top-flight football. And with the transfer window reopening in January, Mowbray would certainly look to reinforce his squad to keep them in a good position until the end of the campaign.
23-year-old Belgium international De Sutter is currently interesting the Baggies, but the reportedly £6million-rated player wants to move to Brugge’s Jupiler League rivals and most successful Belgian club Anderlecht.
"With De Sutter, the board of Cercle made it clear that in January we would be prepared to let him leave," said Brugge president Frans Schotte.
"He has already told us of his preference for Anderlecht, but nothing is signed yet. We also know that West Bromwich and AZ are interested, but we will take into account Tom's preferences."
