Watson: Moyes Should Leave Everton For Newcastle 'It All Depends How Ambitious He Is'
Sheffield Wednesday player Steve Watson, who spent 7 years at Newcastle United and 5 years at Everton believes Toffees manager David Moyes should leave Goodison Park for St James’, but claims it depends on how ambitious the Scotsman is.
“Everton is a fantastic club, it was my second best spell apart from Newcastle,” Watson told Setanta Sports News.
“David Moyes is a fantastic coach and he would do well wherever he went. I’m sure it [the Newcastle job] would interest him.
‘Everton have been the best side outside the top four in the last few years. He’ll think he’s got lots still to do there.
“But, he’s been there for a while and might be nearly ready for a change. It all depends how ambitious he is.”

Why should Moyes leave a club that as said in the article "Everton have been the best side outside the top four in the last few years. He’ll think he’s got lots still to do there." for a club that has had 6 managers in 3 years? Plus he states it all depends on how ambitious he is, well I think Europe the second year in a row and the last club to break the Top 3 and Liverpool stronghold of the league shows more ambition than finishing at the top of the bottom half of the table each season.

Even as a Geordie this seems ridiculous. Why would Moyes join us? We get rid of managers every minute - and our fans make life hell for anybody who manages us.
Yes, we're a huge club, but Everton have got a trophy room stacked full of cups - including 9 league trophies. What have we got? Nice bloke Steve, but you're dreaming if you think we could snatch Moyes.
The new contract Moyes is to
The new contract Moyes is to sign will make him the highest earner at the club, just like the old days when the boss made all the calls. He also has a chairman and a board at Goodison who hang on every word he says and seek every player on his wish list. With the club determined to get the new site for the new ground, why would he give all that up to work under Denis Wise??
