Valencia-Target Goalkeeper Jose Reina Desires To Stay At Liverpool – ‘Pepe’ Reveals His Son Can Play For Spain Or England

Goalkeeper Jose Reina has looked into the future at Liverpool, saying he is happy and wants to stay. He also went a bit further to declare that if he has a son, he could even play for Spain or England.

The 24-year-old Spanish international goalkeeper nicknamed ‘Pepe’, who came to Anfield in 2005 at a cost of £6million from Villarreal, has two years on his current contract. However, Reds boss Rafa Benitez’s former club Valencia are reportedly interested in Liverpool’s No 1 stopper.

"I am happy here and want to stay," Reina told the Liverpool Echo. "We will talk about a new deal in the summer.

"I have two years left but I want to look beyond that. My wife and I have just had our first child and she's a Scouser.

"Maybe next time I'll have a son and he can play for Spain or England!"
