Spurs' Berbatov To Realise Dream As United Look Set To Pip Real Madrid & Man City
Manchester United look to have won the race to sign Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur, with the centre forward seen going into a meeting with United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and chief executive David Gill to talk personal terms after completing a routine medical on Monday night.
Berbatov has been the subject today of late bids by Manchester City, who are believed to have offered in excess of £30million for the classy striker, along with Real Madrid, who were reportedly ready to pay £36.5million for Berbatov.
The 27-year-old had already spoken to City today, with it understood that the new owners ADUG offered the forward a staggering £150,00-a-week to make the move to the Eastlands side of Manchester.
However, it now appears that Ferguson looks set to finally land his main transfer target, with the former Bayer Leverkusen player getting to realise his dream and join the Champions League winners at Old Trafford.
