Tottenham’s Gareth Bale Still Optimistic
After having lost 1-0 to Hull City on Sunday at White Hart Lane and yet to secure their first win of the season, Tottenham Hotspur defender Gareth Bale believes his team will get back on track very soon.
Spurs were on top in the game with big spells of domination, but were unlucky to hit the woodwork on two occasions including Bale’s first half free kick.
Juande Ramos’ men have been successful in creating chances but have failed to convert them in goals. However, 19-year old Bale feels that his side will get the vital goals after the International break.
"I think we played well as a team and created a lot of chances, but we just can't seem to get the ball in the back of the net at the moment," the Wales international said on the club’s official website.
"But the fact we do seem to be playing better as a team suggests that win will come sooner rather than later.
"I think the key in these games might be to score the first goal because that could settle us down so we can play our own game instead of chasing all the time.
"We're just going to keep working hard in training and see what happens. We'll come back from the international break refreshed and ready to go."
