Tottenham & Everton In ‘A Tug Of War’ For Standard Liege’s Fellaini

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are reportedly in a battle to land Standard Liege midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Daily Mail says that the Premiership rivals are involved in "a tug of war" for the 21 year-old Belgian international, who can also play in defence.

It is also claimed that the Toffees could put in a deadline day offer to compete with Spurs’ £11million bid after the north-Londoners reportedly made their interest known last week. However, Spurs’ offer was turned down by Liege, but the chance that they could come with an improved bid is not ruled out.

Fellaini was impressive in the two-legged Champions League qualifier against Liverpool as the Belgian club gave a tough fight to the Reds before bowing out with a gallant performance.
