Tottenham Hotspur boss Juande Ramos can call on first year academy trainee Adam Smith for first-team duty as the teenager has now signed his first professional contract at the north-London club.

The 17-year-old full-back had impressed as an under-16 player last season when he made eight appearances for the under-18s and earned a debut for the reserves.

Showing his talent all along, he grew in stature this season as he made 17 appearances for the under-18s and another two for the reserves including a start at Reading last week.
