Tottenham Boss Juande Ramos Pleased After Collecting Point Against Everton
Tottehnham Boss Juande Ramos has claimed that he has no qualms after his side managed to gather just one point from their encounter against Everton on Wednesday night.
The match ended in a goalless draw but the Toffees definitely held the edge with some fine moves by Andy Johnson. However Ramos is pleased with his defenders for their brilliant performance.
“Much credit has to go to our defensive display with centre-back pairing Jonathan Woodgate and Tom Huddlestone particularly outstanding, Woodgate on his debut for us having only signed on Monday.”
"It was a fairly balanced match overall, both teams came out to play and tried to win," reflected Head Coach Juande.
"I would say that the first half was Everton's but the second half certainly went our way and overall, a draw was a fair result," he added, before giving the seal of approval to Woodgate's debut.
"As you know it was his first match for us and he played very well. It's fair to say he doesn't know his new team-mates too well but he is a player with a great deal of experience. He is a player who can bring great benefits to Tottenham.
"I hope we have no problems with his fitness. There are a lot of matches in our schedule at the moment but he's an experienced player and should he feel he needs a rest I hope he will let us know and we'll give him the rest or extra training he needs."
