West Brom Boss Mowbray Backs Zuiverloon To Make Impression In Premier League
West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray has backed his new signing Gianni Zuiverloon to be one of the top players in the Premier League after the players brilliant performance against Middlesbrough.
The Dutch international out-played Villa’s Ashley Young last weekend, while he kept a close check on Boro's Stewart Downing during their clash on Saturday at the Riverside Stadium.
Zuiverloon, who came to the club from Heerenveen in a £3.2million deal has received strong backing from Baggies boss Mowbray to do well in England’s top flight league.
"Gianni is a player who has played four or five times in the Premier League but needs to keep his feet on the ground," said Mowbray.
"He’s everything I saw when I went to watch him really – he’s fast, he’s athletic, he’s quick with the ball, he’s composed, how good can he be? I don’t know but he was exceptional on Saturday.
“He played against one of the best wide players in the country."
