Manchester United Line Up Barca's Henry As Spurs' Berbatov Alternative?
Premiership Champions Manchester United have reportedly approached French International Thierry Henry and are looking to bring him to Old Trafford during the summer.
The ex-Arsenal star is currently employed with Spanish giants Barcelona, however he has still not adapted to life out there. Coupled with that, is his doubt in new coach Josep Guardiola, who he feels doesn’t has the capability to guide the side to challenge for titles.
Sir Alex Ferguson who is known to be pursuing Tottenham Hotspur’s Dimitar Berbatov (left), wants to keep his options wide incase the deal with the Bulgarian International doesn’t work out and has put Henry on his wish list.
During his time at Arsenal, Henry had the reputation of being of the Premiership’s finest player. The French maestro would definitely like to gain back that tag by returning to English football.
Ferguson recently commented that striker Wayne Rooney could be more useful in the central role this season, which could be a hint that he plans to bring players like Henry or Berbatov to do the job upfront.
