Sunderland boss Roy Keane has suggested that Phil Bardsley and Jonny Evans might be 50-50 for Saturday's Premiership clash against Middlesbrough at the Stadium of Light.
The defensive duo had missed yesterday’s Tyne-Wear derby defeat at Newcastle United due to injury problems and there have been suggestions that they might be out for the rest of the season.
After the 2-0 defeat at St James’ Park, Keane confirmed that Bardsley had damaged his knee in training and Evans had a hamstring problem.
The Black Cats are five points above the drop zone with three games remaining in the season.
