Sunderland To Make Double Swoop Next Week - West Ham's Ferdinand & Man City's Ball?

West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland, Manchester City Premiership Transfer News

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has revealed that he expects two new arrivals at the Stadium of Light next week, bit despite not naming them it is believed that one will be Anton Ferdinand from West Ham United. With the other target rumoured to be Michael Ball at Manchester City, according to reports.

The Black Cats had a £8million offer for 23-year-old Ferdinand accepted last week by West Ham, with a source close to the deal revealing that the centre-back has agreed a move from Upton Park to the North East club in principle.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for the former England Under-21 International, but despite reports that Ferdinand would rather stay in London it now looks like he is set to link up with Keane at Sunderland.

Manchester City left-back Michael Ball is rumoured to be the other target for Keane, who missed out on Nickey Shorey after he opted to sign for Aston Villa. 28-year-old Ball is not first choice at the Eastlands Stadium and should be allowed to leave by new manager Mark Hughes a former team-mate of Keane at Manchester United.

Keane said: “I’ve got two players in mind and I’m hoping to complete on them next week.”
