Wigan Athletic v Sunderland - Latics Boosted By Return Of Brown From Suspension - Edwards & Leadbitter Injured For Black Cats
After having stunned Tottenham Hotspur in the opening match, Sunderland are confident as they take on Wigan Athletic at the JJB Stadium on Saturday.
Roy Keane's side, who held fellow new-entrants Birmingham to a draw on Wednesday night, will be looking to add points to their tally against the Latics as later they will come across powerhouses Liverpool at home and Manchester United away.
Chris Hutchings' Wigan meanwhile have three points in two matches after their opening loss at Everton was followed by a win at home over Middlesbrough in midweek.
The Latics will be boosted by the return of summer signing Michael Brown, who missed the two matches because of his three-match ban slapped in the penultimate game of last season.
However, defenders Emerson Boyce and Ryan Taylor are ruled out with injuries.
For the Black Cats, winger Carlos Edwards and Grant Leadbitter are out with injuries.
Antoine Sibierski has scored both of Wigan's goals while Michael Chopra has found the target twice for the Black Cats.
