Bolton Wanderers, who have got off to a miserable start in the Premiership this season with three straight losses, are in danger of seeing two of their most influential players - El-Hadji Diouf and Nicolas Anelka – leaving.

Senegal ace Diouf, 26, has claimed that five clubs are interested in him with Tottenham Hotspur being one of them.

Anelka, meanwhile, has been linked with Manchester United, who are likely to dip in transfer market before the August 31 deadline for a proven goal-scorer as they are apparently in need of a target-man given their struggle in the three matches so far with Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, all injured.

Former Liverpool man, Diouf, who is also a target for Celtic and Lyon, however is closer to leaving the Reebok and is accusing the Trotters of blocking his move by asking for £10million fee.

He said: "I have five clubs who want me but I don't want to go for going. I want to go to somewhere where I will be happy.

"But Bolton want a lot of money for me. They are asking for £10million. I want to play in the Champions League or with a club that wants to be there next season."
