Stoke City Give Up Valencia’s Nikola Zigic Chase
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has admitted that he is no longer interested in pursuing Serbian International Nikola Zigic from Spanish club Valencia.
27-year-old Zigic made the switch to the Mestalla last season from Racing Santander, but had a far from perfect debut season with Los Che.
He has been linked with a move to the Premiership, with several clubs including Blackburn Rovers showing interest in the player.
However Potters boss Pulis claimed that he is no longer pursuing the player and has already started looking elsewhere for another striker to bring to the Britannia Stadium.
Pulis told Sky Sports News: "Yes. It has finished. There will be no further progress.
"We have got a lot of work to do and we are still trying to get players in.
"We are hoping to bring a couple more in before Saturday. Then we have a couple of weeks to move people in and one or two people will leave as well."
