Spurs Still Hope To Add A Striker, Arshavin & Campbell In The Frame As Berbatov To Man United Saga Heads For Conclusion

Tottenham Hotspur are in for a busy deadline day as their search for a striker continues even as Dimitar Berbatov’s move to Manchester United is yet to be confirmed and it will not be completed until Spurs get a replacement as they are currently left with only two strikers in Darren Bent and new-signing Roman Pavlyuchenko.

The on-off move of Zenit St Petersburg star Andrei Arshavin is not completely dead and Spurs could up their offer to match the Russian club’s £18m valuation of the Russian international, if United come with an improved offer for £30m-rated Bulgarian ace Berbatov, who was not in the squad for second consecutive weekend as Spurs held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

Also in the speculation has appeared, United’s Fraizer Campbell, who is reported to be a part of the deal for the Red Devils to bring Berbatov to Old Trafford with the 20-year-old striker heading to the White Hart Lane. But nothing as yet is concrete.
