Spurs Make Offer For Argentine Olympic Star Pareja?
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in defender Nicolas Pareja, who plays for Belgian side Anderlecht, according to reports.
24-year-old Pareja has been at Anderlecht since 2006, when the Argentine defender was brought in to replace Vincent Kompany, who is now at Manchester City. The defender recently starred for Argentina in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he helped Argentina to win the Gold medal.
Spanish side Espanyol are also said to be chasing Pareja, but it is thought that Spurs are favourites to sign him, with reports suggesting that a £5.5million (€6.8m) offer has been made to bring the player to White Hart Lane.
Should the Argentine arrive at the North London club, he would compete with England International’s Ledley King, Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson for a place in the heart of the Tottenham defense.
