According to reports, Blackburn Rovers have signed Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson for a fee of £3.5million, after the player gave the nod to a five-year contract.

The 28-year old stopper fell out of favour last season and Spurs boss Juande Ramos has already signed PSV Eindhoven's Heurelho Gomes at White Hart Lane, this summer.

With the England international’s arrival at Ewood Park, Rovers keeper Brad Friedel could possibly switch to Aston Villa after productive talks with the Villans over a £2million move which Blackburn revealed would be done only if a replacement was found.
