Tottenham Hotspur defender Anthony Gardner has sealed a loan deal with Everton for the remainder of the season.

The 27-year-old centre-back has been on the fringes of the Spurs squad for some time now, and will hope to secure a first-team place at Goodison park.

Tottenham Hotspur released a statement on their official site saying: "We have reached agreement with Everton for the loan of Anthony Gardner for the remainder of the season.

"Anthony joined us in January 2000 from Port Vale and has gone on to make 144 appearances in our colours, scoring on three occasions."

Also leaving Tottenham on-loan is Paul Stalteri, who joins Fulham FC on-loan until the end of the season.
