Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Russian International Roman Pavlyuchenko from Spartak Moscow, Spurs have confirmed on Monday.

26-year-old Pavlyuchenko has signed a five-year deal at White Hart Lane, with the EURO 2008 star costing the North London side £14million (€17.25m), Tottenham revealed in an announcement to the London Stock Exchange.

The arrival of Pavlyuchenko will now almost certainly see the departure of Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United for a fee in the region of £28million. Which could also include Hull City target Fraizer Campbell leaving Old Trafford for Spurs as part of the deal.

The capture of the Russian striker will ease the worries of Tottenham manager Juande Ramos, who has been desperate for more firepower in the Premier League, following the sale of Robbie Keane and his decision to omit Berbatov from the last two Spurs squads.
