Spurs Chairman Levy Reportedly Travelling To Barcelona To Discuss Eto'o Transfer - Berbatov Could Be Involved In Deal
Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly planning to travel to Barcelona this Sunday to discuss the transfer of Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto'o to White Hart Lane.
Spurs manager Juande Ramos is said to have made Eto’o his first choice for this Summers transfer window and Levy wants to do "everything possible" to get the Cameroon international in time for next season.
One factor that could play against Tottenham is the fact that aren’t competing in the Champions League next season, although Spurs are still thought to be interested in Eto’o, who is thought to have a pirice tag in the range of £26million (€33million).
Spurs are expected to finance the expensive signing with the sale, or even an exchange deal for Dimitar Berbatov, who allegedly wants a move to Barcelona, with Real Madrid and AC Milan also showing interest in the Bulgarian striker.
