Spurs Boss Ramos: 'It Was A Great Performance' Against Chelsea
Tottenham Hotspur manager Juande Ramos has hailed the performance of his Spurs team in picking up a point at Stamford Bridge in their 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Spurs striker Darren Bent was at fault for the first goal, when the former Charlton forward let Juliano Belletti in for the opener, but soon made amends with the equaliser before half-time.
Ramos felt Spurs were worthy of their first Premier League point of the season, with the Spaniard applauding the North London sides second-half display.
“In the first half perhaps we paid a little too much respect to our opponents and were overawed by Chelsea and playing in their stadium,” Ramos told the official Spurs site.
“In the second half that was a thing of the past. We managed to keep the ball and our performance in the second half thoroughly deserved a point.
“It was a great performance and a great result.”
