Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs has broken Sir Bobby Charlton's record for the most appearances in a Manchester United shirt after featuring in the Champions League Final against Chelsea on Wednesday evening.
Prior to the match the 34-year-old Welshman had already equalled Sir Bobby's record of 758 appearances for Man Utd and broke this record after coming off the substitutes bench just before injury-time in the second-half of the Champions League Final with the scores level at 1-1 after goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Frank Lampard.
Giggs now has a total of 759 appearances for The Red Devils and is likely to extend that record next season.
