Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has hailed the progress of his Spain team-mate Fernando Torres at Liverpool.

The 24-year-old striker joined the Reds in the summer from Atletico Madrid, and has gone on to become an instant hit at Rafa Benitez’s side scoring 20 goals in the Premiership so far.

"Torres was right to go to the Premier League, without doubt," Casillas told Spanish newspaper AS.

"It has been amazing for him, he's matured, he's grown a lot and he is one of the really big names over there."
