PSV Eindhoven Speculations Over Portsmouth Striker Kanu – Pompey Not Impressed By Sulley Muntari Price Tag

Portsmouth are faced with advances by PSV Eindhoven over Pompey striker Nwankwo Kanu, suggest the reports emanating in Holland.

Pompey boss Harry Redknapp had earlier minced no words in telling that he would not sell Nigerian captain Kanu, who has been in nice scoring touch this season with 10 goals to his name.

The former Arsenal and West Brom player Kanu, who runs out of his contract at the end of the season, had also refuted reports linking him to a move to his old club Ajax Amsterdam.

Fresh speculations suggest PSV Eindhoven coach Ronald Koeman has spoken with Kanu, 30.

Redknapp may have to flex his muscles and fend off fresh interest in the former African player of the year, as Portsmouth are in contention for Europe and Kanu has a role to play in the final analysis.

PSV had earlier this week, failed in luring Newcastle forward Albert Luque to a move to Dutch league.

Meanwhile, Serie A side Udinese have reportedly put a £10million tag on Ghanaian international attacking midfielder Sulley Muntari. However, Portsmouth are unlikely to shell out that amount.

Pompey have been linked with Muntari since the opening of the transfer window, but the asking price is bound to put off Redknapp.

Pompey had valued the the 22-year-old Muntari at £3million.
