The weekend’s football starts with top-placed Manchester United travelling to 2nd placed Chelsea in a match that could decide the destination of the Premiership title, with the match kicking-off at Stamford Bridge at 12:45 pm (BST).

At the other end of the table, Fulham will see relegation guaranteed if they fail to win away to Manchester City and if Birmingham City manage to beat Liverpool at St Andrews, Reading secure 3 points against Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers beat Spurs at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Chelsea v Manchester United

We all knew it would come to this. Chelsea have home advantage, but may be without key-man Frank Lampard. Man U are without Vidic, but man-for-man, should have enough class to shade a win – and the title.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Cristiano Ronaldo

Man Utd win (1-2)

*******************

Birmingham City v Liverpool

Birmingham ate ‘shoe-pie’ at Villa Park last week. The only crumb of comfort is that Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has a penchant for fielding the reserve squad prior to a Champions League fixture – not that it helped Fulham last gameweek.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Jermaine Pennant

Liverpool win (1-3)

*******************

Manchester City v Fulham

No matter who they face, the Cottagers look hopelessly mis-matched. I expect City to run riot.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Martin Petrov

Man City win (3-0)

*******************

Sunderland AFC v Middlesbrough

Over the last few gameweeks, Boro picked up some great results, and looked to be putting together a strong end to the season. But after last weeks dire performance, I think they have finally run out of steam. Sunderland will not be allowed to wilt, or else their drill sergeant/manager Roy Keane will have their guts-for-garters.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Nyron Nosworthy

Sunderland win (1-0)

*******************

Tottenham Hotspur v Bolton Wanderers

Spurs never fail to disappoint, last weeks draw to Wigan just shows that they are happy with their little trophey, and they are now in coast mode. Bolton are fighting for survival, so I hope they throttle the cocks.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Kevin Nolan

Bolton win (1-2)

*******************

West Ham Utd v Newcastle United

Both teams are full of walking wounded, but there is one sick-note who is back in rare form – and his name is Michael Owen.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Michael Owen

Newcastle Utd win (1-2)

*******************

Wigan Athletic v Reading

Reading need to do something drastic if they are to survive. A win for the Royals here not only gives them a stay of execution – it drags the much loathed Latics back into the poo.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Marcus Hahnemann

Reading win (0-1)

*******************

Portsmouth v Blackburn Rovers

Tough clash. Blackburn had a good result against Man U last week, but no team relishes a vistit to Fratton Park any more.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Jermain Defoe

Draw (1-1)

*******************

Everton v Aston Villa

Another tough clash to call. Everton are the leagues 1-0 wonders, and Villa are now free-scoring. Good job I have a crystal ball.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: John Carew

Aston Villa win (1-2)

*******************

Derby County v Arsenal

Derby finally snap and unleash a 7-0 beating on the fancy-pants Gunners. Only kidding.

Premiership Latest & SquadGod fantasy football pick: Emmanuel Adebayor

Arsenal win (0-7)
