Premier League's Hull City To Lead Chase for £3m Rated Charlton Striker Bent - Campbell Returns To Man Utd
Newly promoted Hull City manager Phil Brown could offer Charlton Athletic forward Marcus Bent the chance to play Premier League football next season with the Tigers.
24 year-old Bent was on loan last season with Wigan Athletic and had hoped to secure a permanent move to the Latics.
However Wigan boss Steve Bruce believes the player is too similar in style to first choice England International Emile Heskey and has pulled out of any deal for The Championship front-man.
On-loan striker Frazier Campbell, who played a key part in Hull City’s promotion last season, is going back to Premier League Champions Manchester United, which leaves Brown needing to strengthen his options up front.
If Charlton decide that Bent is surplus to requirements at The Valley, Hull are expected to lead the chase for the £3million rated Charlton strikers signature.
