Luiz Felipe Scolari has distanced himself from the possibility of leaving Portugal for Manchester City.

The Brazilian, who is focusing on preparing the Portuguese national side for the summer’s Euro championship, is fiercely linked with City as an intended replacement for Sven-Goran Eriksson despite the Swede taking the Eastlands club on the verge of the top-half finish.

However, Scolari is in no hurry to leave despite reports suggesting that a £3.2million package is on offer to take over at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Scolari said: “Portugal offers me everything I need. I have no agreement with that club [City].”
