Portsmouth Not Giving Up On Liverpool’s Crouch –Arsenal, Tottenham & Newcastle Also Linked

Portsmouth are not giving up the chase for Liverpool striker Peter Crouch, who is also linked with Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham.

The Reds knocked back a reported £9million Pompey bid for the England international last week. However, Pompey are still interested in the 27-year-old, who is looking to play regular football next season, but are not ready to match the £15m reported valuation.

Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie told the Portsmouth News: “Harry's made it clear he wants Peter Crouch. He's the sort of quality we want to add to the team.

"We've made a fair bid for him and that was turned down but we're still interested.

"It's now the case that we've made known our position and Liverpool have made known theirs - we'll see what happens after that. This isn't the end of it.

"We're not going to be giving up. Harry sees him as an important player and we'll try to bring him to Fratton Park."
