Portsmouth Boss Redknapp Hopeful On James, Utaka & Hreidarsson For FA Cup Semis Against West Brom
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp believes he will have David James, John Utaka and Hermann Hreidarsson fit in time for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against West Brom.
While goalkeeper James has had a bout of illness, winger Utaka and defender Hreidarsson have minor injuries.
"Jamo's had a bit of a sick bug but we're hoping that will clear up and he'll be okay," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.
"Other than that, John Utaka's got a bit of a tight hamstring and we'll have to see how that is.
"Hermann's had stitches in his Achilles tendon because of a stud mark, but we're hoping they are going to be okay."
In-form striker Jermain Defoe will however, be reduced to being a spectator for the Wembley outing as he is cup-tied having featured for his old club Tottenham before moving to Fratton Park in the January transfer window.
