Palmeiras' Diego Cavalieri On His Way To Liverpool? Scott Carson Likely To Move Away
Liverpool could soon be welcoming goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri at Anfield should talks with the Brazilian go in the right direction.
According to the 26-year-old’s agent Juninho Parmigiani, the player has been allowed by his current club Palmeiras to hold talks with Rafael Benitez’s side.
The Brazilian has also been linked in the past with Italian giants Internazionale.
"Palmeiras' board released Diego to negotiate with Liverpool and we are going to fly to define the last details," claimed Parmigiani.
"We still cannot say that everything is closed because there are some things between Liverpool and Palmeiras and other details in the contract.
"I believe everything is going to be solved this weekend.
"If everything goes as it was agreed, he is going to sign the contract and be introduced."
If Cavalieri does make it to the Anfield side, the Reds second choice keeper Scott Carson would most likely be on his way out.
Carson (pictured, left) has claimed that if he is not provided regular first team opportunity at the club, he would be looking elsewhere.
