Gareth Barry has faced a disciplinary action after the Aston Villa captain, who has revealed that he is desperate for Liverpool move, spoke out his mind in an interview on Sunday.
Villa boss Martin O’Neill has meanwhile, refuted the widespread reports of an alleged final bid of £15million from the Reds for the England midfielder, who is reportedly valued by the Villa manager at £18m.
O'Neill told the club’s official website: "There's no truth in this morning's reports and the situation remains the same.
"Gareth will not be returning to training tomorrow and he has been disciplined after giving an unauthorised interview to the News of the World."
