Newcastle To Make Another Move For Cameroon International In January?
Newcastle United could reignite their interest in Cameroon International Achille Webo in the January transfer window after reports in Spain claim that a deal was in place with La Liga side Real Mallorca for the striker to make the switch to the Premier League, but failed to go through on transfer deadline day.
26-year-old Webo joined Mallorca last summer from Osasuna, but was restricted to just 15 appearances for the Barralets at the ONO Estadi, due to a season disrupted by injury, with the forward valued at £8million by the Balearic Island side.
However, Mallorca boss Gregorio Manzano is reluctant to let Webo join Jonas Gutierrez, who made the switch to St James Park this summer, having seen Borja Valero also leave for the Premiership for West Brom and Fernando Navarro and Daniel Guiza also leave the club.
