Manchester City Premiership Transfer News

CSKA Moscow's Brazilian striker Jo is set to join Mark Hughes' Manchester City, with a statement of intent to try and sign Jo's Brazil national team-mate Ronaldinho, who may also be on the verge of a transfer from Spanish giants Barcelona.

The former Blackburn Rovers manager was officially unveiled as the new Manchester City boss on Thursday, with Hughes immediately showing his intent for next season by targeting the CSKA Moscow striker.

"We have had a conversation with Mark Hughes about this because we wanted to see what he felt but it would be fair to say we expect to see Jo at Manchester City," new Man City executive chairman Garry Cook told the press conference.

"Ronaldinho is one of the greatest players that has ever played, I would like to see him here, Mark Hughes would like to see him here, and I think the fans would too."
