New Everton Signing Saha In No Play No Pay Offer

Everton, Manchester United Premiership Player News

France International Louis Saha who signed a two year deal on the transfer deadline day with Everton from Manchester United had offered to waive his wages until he featured in a blue shirt.

Saha who is eager to prove his worth at the Toffees is currently recovering from a cartilage problem.

Saha who was injury prone in his last two years at Old Trafford was very eager for the move to Goodison Park to go through.

But Toffees Manager David Moyes turned down the kind gesture and is now hoping the former Fulham forward along with the club’s leading goal scorer Yakubu can supply the goals in the Premier League, when they are both fully fit.

Saha said: "It was something I did offer but, in the end, it didn't happen.

"I'd had a few setbacks and I made the offer because that is my type of mentality.

"I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror.

"I could have been selfish but it wouldn't have been right."
