Arsenal, Middlesbrough Premiership Transfer News
Middlesbrough are waiting for Arsenal’s response to their bid for full-back Justin Hoyte, while Vitesse Arnhem right-back Paul Verhaegh and Feyenoord defender Serginho Greene are also reportedly being tracked as boss Gareth Southgate is keen to further bolster his squad.
Hoyte is however, the priority for the Teessiders as Boro have recently sold right-back Luke Young to Aston Villa, and are keen to add the 23-year-old Englishman to their ranks.
With Bacary Sagna now established at right-back, Hoyte’s chances at the north-London club look limited and as such Boro are attempting to prise him away.
Boro chairman Steve Gibson told Sky Sports News: "We have submitted a bid and that's with Arsenal. We are waiting for Arsenal to respond.”
