West Ham, Manchester United Premiership Match Previews

Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United are pumped-up and ready to take on Alan Curbishley’s West Ham United in their Premier League match in which the Premier League leaders are targeting full points at Old Trafford on Saturday.

A win against the Hammers and a defeat for Chelsea away to Newcastle United on Monday will help the Reds secure a record 10th Premiership crown.

However, United will miss central defender Nemanja Vidic for the vital game.

English international striker Wayne Rooney (hip) could start from the bench while Patrice Evra who was taken off the pitch on a stretcher at Barcelona in the midweek, will start for the home side.

For the visitors, winger Julien Faubert is doubted to be suffering a minute hamstring injury and hence may not be fit to start.

Former Arsenal winger Freddie Ljungberg (rib) has also been included in the Hammers casualty list.
