Match Preview: Everton v Newcastle – The Toffees Need Point For UEFA Cup Place – Smith, Duff & N'Zogbia In The Frame For Toon

Newcastle United, Everton Premiership Match Previews

Everton need a point to clinch a fifth-place finish, as they take on Newcastle United in the final Premiership game of the season on Sunday at Goodison Park.

The Toffees, who lost to Arsenal 1-0 in the last game, have no new injury problems and manager David Moyes could go in with an unchanged side as they eye another UEFA Cup campaign.

A loss to the Toon coupled with a victory for Aston Villa at West Ham, can deprive the Toffees of an automatic qualification into Europe for next season.

Kevin Keegan, meanwhile, will have to make changes to his side as striker Mark Viduka (Achilles) is out. The Australian could be out for up to six months if he undergoes a surgery.

Midfielder Joey Barton is unavailable to make the trip to Merseyside, and as such Alan Smith, Damien Duff and Charles N'Zogbia will be eyeing up a start.
