ManCity Clear-Out Inevitable - Vassell, Samaras & Corradi To Make Way For New Signings? But Eriksson Not Revealing Names
Manchester City’s Darius Vassell, Georgios Samaras, Bernado Corradi are likely to leave as manager Sven-Goran Eriksson revealed that ‘a few players’ are in talks over transfer before the summer market shuts August 31.
City have also in turn been linked with the likes of Inter Milan striker Adriano and Benfica’s Nuno Gomes, but the former England boss did not confirm whether he is working on the reported targets although he said that he is ‘working hard on transfers.’
"A few players are in negotiations with other clubs with our permission," Eriksson said.
"There are a lot of rumours not just of Darius Vassell going but some of the others. There are others who will leave, we will see over the next few days.”
On more new players coming in at City, the Swede said: "We are working hard on transfers. Something will happen but Friday is very close. I will not comment on names that have been suggested, we will see on Friday."
