Patrice Evra has been injured in Manchester United's 1-0 Champions League win against Barcelona at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.

The 26-year-old left-back took a knock in the face and was stretchered off the pitch in the final minutes of Manchester United's 1-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League Semi-Final 2nd leg, with Paul Scholes scoring to seal the win, which sees Sir Alex Ferguson's team progress to the Champions League Final in Moscow against either Liverpool or Chelsea.

Evra was replaced by Mikaël Silvestre for the remaining few minutes of the match.

The full extent of the French internationals injury is, as yet unknown, but he would be sorely missed in Manchester United's next match - at home against West Ham United on Saturday.
