Morten Gamst Pedersen’s agent has revealed that Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the Blackburn Rovers winger.

The 25-year-old, who is said to have a release clause in his Ewood Park contract, had earlier been linked with the Red Devils but Rovers boss Mark Hughes had quashed the reports.

Agent Rune Hauge told Dagbladet: "All the big five follow Morten's situation.

"We are in contact with the clubs. Morten plays in a special position on the left and can play as well both in 4-3-3 and 4-4-2.

"The big ones might not have space for players of his type and we might see players in that position leave some of the clubs the coming weeks."

The Norway international, who has proven his versatility with his brilliant run of form as he can function as a forward as well as a left-winger, had signed for Rovers in 2004 from Norwegian premier league club Tromsø IL.
