Manchester City Beat Fulham To Fair Play Award To Make It To UEFA Cup Qualifiers
The English Premier League have announced that Manchester City have managed to gain entry in next season’s UEFA Cup by clinching the ‘Fair Play’ award.
Although City finished off the season sixth in the Premier League fair-play table all the sides who finished above them have already made it to European competition next season, City now get a place in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round next season.
The qualification for the Blues was not an easy task after their skipper Richard Dunne received a red card in the season finale, where they went on to lose the match 8-1 to a rampant Middlesbrough.
However after the final counting it was known that they had held off Fulham who also were in contention for the place, and now make it to the UEFA Cup qualifiers.
