Man City To Make €70million Raid For Juve's Buffon
Italy keeper Gianluigi Buffon could be the next player signing for Manchester City as the club’s new owners are planning a massive €70million raid for the Juventus player.
The Blues new Arab owners ADUG, who have proved that they have no financial drawbacks with the signing of Robinho for £32.5million on deadline day, are looking to bring in some of the biggest names in football to the Eastlands Stadium.
Buffon is the most expensive goalkeeper in the world already after Juventus paid £32million in 2001 to sign him from Serie A rivals Parma.
Doctor Sulaim Al-Fahim claimed that he is aware that money is one of the major factors in the world of football and insisted that finance wont limit their ability to attract the top names.
"If we can buy the greatest players in the world then we will; we only want the strongest," said Al-Fahim.
With the Premier League side hoping to lure Buffon to the Eastlands with a huge €70m bid, according to Leggo.
However, Juventus wont let go of their experienced keeper so easily as they are hoping to make a concerted push for the Champions League this season, but they may not be able to refuse such a colossal offer from the new richest club in football.
