Man United’s Scholes Could Be Back For Man City Clash
Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is linked with a shock return to action in the derby at Manchester City on November 30.
The former England international had suffered a knee ligament injury against Aalborg in the Champions League and had been ruled out for 10 weeks. He has joined light training recently and was tipped to be back for Tottenham Hotspur clash next month before the Red Devils fly out to Japan for the FIFA Club World Cup.
However, according to latest reports, the 33-year-old , who is four short of reaching century of league goals for the Red Devils, could be back ahead of the schedule in full training in 10 days’ time and prepare for the Manchester derby.
A United insider said in The Sun: “Paul was spraying 40 yard passes around as if he had never been away. You would not believe he suffered an injury just six weeks ago. He could play in the derby — it’s just a question of what the boss wants to do.”
