Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has set a target of ‘scoring a few more goals’ next season, while hailing team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a phenomenal 42 goals last term.
Rooney, however, might have to take more responsibility in the attack next season with the prolific Portuguese winger constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
The England international, who chipped in with 18 goals last term, said in the Manchester Evening News: "Cristiano is unbelievable. What he's done for United in the last two years is brilliant.
"Playing alongside him makes you work hard. You always want to be the best and I think I can score a few more goals."
